Welcome to the Kleines Vorwerk zu Sayda
Fine, Saxon, familiar - that's us.
Dear friends of Vorwerk and connoisseurs,
The year is already coming to an end. Winter with its snow and frost has already arrived, and the Christmas season begins. Illuminated fir trees in front gardens, candle arches in every window of the small Erzgebirge houses, the smell of stollen and cookies from the bakery, the scent of incense from the smoking men, and a pleasant smell of freshly burned wood from chimneys.
All of this, combined with coziness and warmth, and of course with culinary delights, can be enjoyed at Kleines Vorwerk with all your senses.
How about "Floating Weightlessly" - you can experience this in our private spa of the highest class, with a floating pool, a steam egg that is unique in Germany, a stone pine hay sauna, a treatment area with herbal baths, and a small outdoor inhalation facility. You can find all the information and a short film on our website at www.kleines-vorwerk.de
Our winter and Christmas menu offers traditional Erzgebirge, Saxon, and Bohemian home cooking and the finest meat dishes from our Highland cattle, sheep, and Mangalitsa woolly pigs, as well as contemporary light cuisine for vegetarian and vegan connoisseurs.
It is also hunting season, and naturally you can enjoy game prepared in various ways, as well as fresh-caught trout.
If you have a sweet tooth, you should try the delicious raisin and almond stollen, baked in the Dorfchemnitz bakery (in its 6th generation).
For the "dark season" we have created an additional offer which you can book in advance (traditional Erzgebirge "Neinerlaa", roast goose for the whole family, carp "blue", exciting raclette on a hot stone, and Fondue Chinoise). Experience this delight in our cozy room with a fireplace - completely relaxed with your family.
Please make a reservation, especially for the holidays and weekends, to ensure your place in our small restaurant.
It's time for sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, skiing, snowshoe hikes, all the winter and snow fun that you can experience right here at Vorwerk.
Afterwards, enjoy our healthy sea buckthorn punch as an alternative to the much sought-after mulled wine, a visit to our new wellness area or our rustic log cabin sauna, or a candlelight dinner by the fireplace. The warm and cozy atmosphere offers relaxation and well-being.
We are also pleased that our new Vorwerk Genusshütte "Das kleinste Restaurant Sachsens" (the smallest restaurant in Saxony) at Kleines Vorwerk is being so well received, the perfect place for a special culinary experience (for a maximum of 4 people).
We wish you a delightful and contemplative Advent season
and relaxing holidays, and we look forward to your visit

• Trained chef and studied graduate industrial engineer
• • 24 years of professional experience
Interests: I love sports – especially watching them on television. As a trained chef, I still enjoy cooking with a passion. When it comes to seasoning, my name says it all: I like it spicy – it has to really burn!
My goal is to provide you with an unforgettable stay, together with my team, and to fulfill your personal wishes.
Lutz Peschel with family
EiOwner (since 1994) of the Old Saxon inn Kleines Vorwerk
• graduate in business administration, part-time agricultural and forestry worker, owner of a detective agency in Dresden
Interests: I love nature, appreciate fine cuisine, and am a big fan of the Slow Food movement, which I bring to life here at Kleines Vorwerk. Enjoying social hours with good friends in a lovely atmosphere is one of my greatest joys. As an animal lover, I advocate for humane animal husbandry and enjoy hunting – to me, that's not a contradiction. We serve our guests here in our inn what nature provides us, in the midst of the idyllic landscape of the Erzgebirge.
My motto: Rediscovering old values. I run my inn with the eyes of a guest and I hope that our guests feel just as comfortable here as I do with my family. Kleines Vorwerk is our sanctuary in nature and my very own playground, where I fulfill my dream of living a pleasurable life in the beautiful mountain world of the Erzgebirge. I look forward to sharing this dream with you as my guests.
I offer you: my full commitment and a 50-hectare gem where you can feel at ease with all your senses.
